Who we are

CosmiX DAO is a community Web3 project. This site (cosmixdao.xyz) is the ecosystem’s information gateway. The site is operated by a private individual residing in Austria; once a DAO legal entity is established, operation and data-processing responsibility will pass to that entity. To exercise your rights or ask anything about privacy, contact us via the community channels in the footer (Discord, X).

What data we process

  • Newsletter: your email and chosen language. Subscription requires email confirmation (double opt-in) — until you confirm, nothing is sent. Your email is stored exclusively in encrypted form (AES-256) — it is not readable in the database. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Unsubscribing = immediate and complete deletion of the record from the database.
  • Members zone: your wallet address is NOT stored on our servers. Membership verification happens directly in your browser by reading public data from the Polygon blockchain — no signature, no fee.
  • Technical logs: the server briefly keeps standard operational logs (e.g. IP addresses) solely for security and abuse protection (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies

We use a single cookie: cosmix_lang — a functional language preference (SK/EN/CS, valid 1 year) plus its copy in the browser’s localStorage. It is strictly necessary for the language choice to work, so under ePrivacy rules it requires no consent banner.

There are no analytics, marketing, or third-party tracking cookies here. None at all.

Processors

Newsletter emails are sent via Resend (a processor handling email addresses during delivery). The site runs on servers in the EU.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, restrict processing, data portability, the right to object, and the right to withdraw consent at any time (by unsubscribing). You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — the competent authority is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at); you can also complain to the authority in your own country.
